Brabus iBusiness system goes 2.0

German tuner Brabus, famous for its Mercedes S600 iBusiness and the lately unveiled iBusiness 3D Mercedes-Benz Viano, has now updated its iBusiness multimedia system to version 2.0. The new Brabus SV12 R Biturbo 800 iBusiness 2.0 replaces the first-gen iPad with the new Apple iPad 2. The iBusiness 2.0 system features one or two iPad 2 tablets in the rear compartment of the Mercedes S-Class, which are connected via Wi-Fi to an Internet-connected Mac mini. The iPad 2 also controls the on-board entertainment and all the functions of the S-Class COMAND system.

While the integrated 15.2-inch 16:9 TFT display serves as an auxiliary monitor for the iPad, the additional screens on the back of the front seats let you watch digital TV broadcasts or other video content. Passengers can hook their other mobile devices like digicams to the USB 2.0 ports integrated into the rear compartments. The iBusiness 2.0 system also benefits from the iPad 2’s video conferencing capabilities. When not in use, you can conceal the iPad 2s in a custom-tailored compartment.
Brabus will install the new iBusiness 2.0 system on any current S-Class model from the S 350 to the S 65. The 12-cylinder S 600 and S 65 models can also be upgraded with the BRABUS 800 V12 Biturbo engine.
